The Great Orion Nebula
This is the Great Orion Nebula. It is also known as M42. It is one of the most recognizable nebulae in the night sky, and is the brightest emission nebula. It has a magnitude of 4.0. To find it, look at Orion’s Belt, and find the sword which is down and to the right with 3 stars forming a T shape. The middle star is not a star, but The Orion Nebula. The other nebula pictured is the Running Man Nebula.
